The Parkland Composite High School
Environmental Science class had the opportunity
to travel to the Bennett Centre in Edmonton from
March 14 to 17.
During the overnight visit students slept in the
dorm rooms at the Centre. Classwork, labs, and
tours were on the agenda as well as hearing from
several guest speakers.
Students also visited the Cenovus Gas Plant;
TransAlta's East Pit Lake (reclaimed coal-mining
land), and the Leduc #1 Energy Discovery
Centre.
Our next trip takes place April 12 to 14 in
Jasper at The Palisades Centre.
