Lobstick 4-H Club diversifying

The 2019/2020 Lobstick 4-H Club's year has
begun and we started with the annual weigh-in at
the beginning of November.
This year saw seven steer and four heifer
projects weighed in. However, this year our club
has diversified and our weigh-in included a
bunny and even a puppy!
This year is an exciting one for the beef
members of the club as it was approved to have a
two day Show and Sale this year. Day one will
include the heifer and cow/calf projects. Day 2
will feature the steer show followed by the sale.
As the Show and Sale days get closer in May, I
will update everyone with the details.
January 4th was the day some of our members
looked forward to, but it was also the day of
some dread —Communication Day. It's the day
members get to speak in front of an audience.
After a lot of practice and preparation all our
members did a great job on their presentations.
Moving on to compete at districts are Seniors Paisley Fontaine was the Junior Public Speaking
winners Garyn Willett and Brody Laackman with winner during the 4-H Club's Communication Day Jordan Riehl with her 4-H steer at at the Lobstick 4-

Intermediate 1st place was Elizabeth Riehl with
her demonstration of a melted crayon craft, and
2nd place was Cordell Laackman and Aiden
Brown with their presentation on Minecraft. The
Junior winner was Paisley Fontaine, who showed
us how to make a real cool bracelet.
