The event was held at the Edson Royal Tyler Sedzer, one of the guests at the event,
Canadian Legion on April 14.
The auctions included some pretty big-ticket
items with at least 40 items in the live auction
alone ranging from prints and rifles to hunting
safaris in Africa. There was a five day hunt in
New Zealand, a Yukon moose hunt, a 10 day
mountain goat hunt, a cougar hunt, world class
white sturgeon fishing, and goose hunting.
Along with plenty of wonderful silent auction
items to bid on there was surely something for
everyone that attended the event.
Jim Bollock has been the auctioneer since the
event first started 13 years ago and continues to
do an amazing job. After the auction was over

the youth groups and high school students, and
we work on projects together."
"It's a conservation organization and its also a
hunting organization —hunting is part of
conservation," said Johannson. "We do this
fundraiser through our affiliate chapter, the main
chapter is located in Red Deer for the Wild
Sheep Foundation of Alberta."
"We have a lot of fun doing this event and
staying involved. We have 40 live auction items
and around 70 silent auction items. We have
great cooperation from the community, they
donate what they can and it really helps," said
Johannson.
