Edson Rotary Club brings people from all
cultures together to exchange ideas, form
friendships, and help within their community
and abroad.
If you enjoy being a part of the community
and helping out, you may want to consider
joining the Rotary Club.
They meet on Tuesdays for lunch and bring
in guest speakers, so, the lunches are always
interesting and everyone is welcomed when
they attend.
The Edson Rotary Club is involved with the
Wellness Project for the Edson Healthcare
Centre. The vision is to take the Continuing
Care Courtyard and transforming it to a higher
level of beauty and functionality to aid those
with complex health needs who are unable to
remain at home, and their families.
On July 25 the Edson Rotary Club donated a
large BBQ for the courtyard. President of
Rotary for this term is Shiela Patterson. "I
became president again on July 1 of this year.
The term runs for one full year until June 30. I
have been past president twice and have been
with Rotary for 19 years."
"I really like helping others, Rotary just does
so much good in the community and
worldwide. The Rotary Club of Edson has
been in the community for 20 years this
September," said Patterson.
Megan Cox, Care Manager for Continuing
Care, said, "We are really excited about the
BBQ because residents and family have been
looking forward to being able to cook out in
this space. This gives us the ability to do that,
so we are very appreciative of Rotary."
