Young wrestler to raise funds for Romania wrestling camp
by Deanna Mitchener
Finding a passion while in school can be very
beneficial throughout one's school years, but
many students are unsure of what path they want
to follow after graduating.
At 11 years old, Tiana Bryant found her
passion: wrestling. “I wrestled for a year then
took a year off to pursue competitive
gymnastics,” Bryant said. “When I came back to
wrestling at 13 years old, I was stronger and had
a better sense of body awareness thanks to my
time as a gymnast. I have been wrestling for
almost five years now.”
“When I'm not having the best day, I can
always look forward to a hard workout in
practice and it takes my mind off the stresses in
my life and sort of revives me,” Bryant said.
“I would say that the hardest part is the
constant time and effort you need to put in,”
Bryant said. “Nothing is ever handed to you with EVENT
wrestling and everything must be earned.”
“Wrestling has presented me with so many REMINDER
