Parkland Lodge holds Annual Garage Sale
by Shaylyn Thornton
On November 23, the Parkland Lodge held
their Annual Garage and Bake Sale, with the goal
of fundraising for the residents of the Lodge.
Any funds raised would go towards general
resident activities, such as field trips and fun
events at the Lodge itself.
The staff at the Lodge noticed that the day
was “slower than usual” in comparison to past
years, which was likely due to the large variety
of events going on around Edson that day.
However, even with the event seeming
slower, the group raised approximately $1300,
beating their goal of $1000.
The sale area was decorated to highlight the
holidays, and many of the items for sale was
holiday themed. Throughout the sale, decorating
of the Lodge was happening outside as well.
Mountainside Sales and Rentals donated the
use of their man lift to decorate the big tree
Remember to drop off your outside the Lodge, something that both the staff
and residents were very excited to see. The lights
donations for the and décor brighten up the spirits for many of the
EDSON FOOD BANK Lodge residents during the holiday season.
Residents of the Lodge were also happy to
