2019 Tim Horton's Edson Ladies Open Golf Tournament
by Dawn Olsvik
68 golfers braved the soggy conditions on July
20 for the Tim Horton's Edson Ladies Open Golf
Tournament. The sun did make a welcome
appearance and stayed for the entire day.
Although the rain stayed away, the very wet
course conditions made it a challenging day for
all.
Twelve ladies registered for stroke play and 14
scramble teams also took part in the tournament.
In stroke play, Susan Hansen was the winner
with overall low gross. Krista Fulla was overall
low net winner. The first-place scramble team
was Team Arcand from Alexander. Second place
in the scramble went to Edson team Sherry
Chung, Rheanne Monroe, Simone McAteer and
Nicole Pacholok.
In the chipping contest for a diamond necklace,
two ladies chipped into the hole. Cheryl Hunter
and Laura McMullen had to have a chip-off with
McMullen coming out victorious.
