After a heavy rainfall on July 24, the Town of Edson was dealing with some drainage
issues as a result of minor flooding. “Couriers have been out all day dealing with some
of the fallout from that and trying to direct the drainage properly,” said Town of Edson
Communications Coordinator Steve Bethge. In affected areas across town, the storm
sewer system had exceeded its capacity, resulting in water overflowing through the
manhole covers. As many as 100 homes were also impacted by the flooding.
