NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
PROPOSED BYLAW NO. 02.19

PURSUANT TO SECTION 692 OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT ACT,
BEING CHAPTER M-26 R.S.A. 2000 AND AMENDMENTS THERETO:

Notice is hereby given that all Public Hearings will begin at 9:30 a.m. on March
26, 2019, in the Council Chambers of the Yellowhead County Administration
Building located at 2716 1st Avenue, Edson, Alberta.
The purpose of this hearing is to allow persons to make known their views with
respect to the proposed Bylaw 02.19 being a Bylaw to amend the Yellowhead
County Land Use Bylaw 16.13, as follows:
' Make textual amendments to align the Land Use Bylaw with and incorporate
recent changes to the Municipal Government Act focusing on decision making
timelines and processes.
This concludes the summary of Bylaw 02.19.

All written submissions will become public information upon receipt by the
Yellowhead County Council. Copies of Bylaw No. 02.19 are available for public
inspection during regular office hours from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday
through Friday at the Yellowhead County office located at 2716 1st Avenue,
Edson, Alberta. Further information may be obtained by contacting the office at

WATER ACT
NOTICE OF APPLICATION

Notice is given that Yellowhead County has filed an application under
the provisions of the Water Act to excavate borrow material for Swanson
Road upgrade works at SE 13-054-20-W5. This borrow pit occurs on
Crown Land within the Green Area of the Province and is 250m long by
115m wide and 3.5m deep. At the end of construction, the borrow pit will
impound and hold water for local fire suppression.
Any person who is directly affected by this application may submit a
written statement of concern to within 7 days of the date of this notice to:

The written statement of concern should include the following:
· the application number: 005039437 (EMS 001-00432387)
· describe concerns that are relevant to matters regulated by the
Water Act
· explain how the filer of the concern will be directly affected by
the activity and/or diversion of water proposed in the application
· provide the legal land location of the land owned or used by the
filer where the concerns described are believed to be applicable
· state the distance between the land owned or used by the filer
and the site in the application
· contact information including the full name and mailing address
of the filer. Please provide the telephone number and/or email
address for ease of contact.

Environment and Parks will review each written statement of concern,
seek more information if needed, and notify each filer by letter of the
decision to accept or reject their written submission as a valid statement
of concern. The Public Notice of this application will also be posted on
the Department's website at
