GYPSD hosts Jr. Kindergarten information session

GYPSD hosted a junior kindergarten information
session in Edson recently for over 30 parents from
Edson, Niton, and Fulham.
Director of Inclusive Learning, Kim McConnell,
facilitated the session around Flight; Alberta's
Early Learning and Care Curriculum Framework,
that guides the Division's early learning and
childcare educators, and provides supports for
students.
Superintendent Carolyn Lewis and Deputy
Superintendent Karen Shipka spoke of the
Division's priority of offering world-class public
education from junior kindergarten to Grade 12.
Board Chair Brenda Rosadiuk, Vice-Chair Joan
Zaporosky and representatives from the Learning
Services team were also in attendance.
Two GYPSD high school students helped out
with some fun technology resources to keep the
little ones busy during the presentation.
