Forestry companies host open house

On April 23, ANC Timber (Alberta Newsprint
Company), Millar Western Forest Products, West
Fraser Timber Co. (Blue Ridge Lumber and Alberta
Plywood), and Weyerhaeuser Pembina and
Vanderwell hosted a joint open house at Repsol
Place to provide information surrounding forestry
operating plans for the upcoming season.
As required by the province, Forest Management
Agreement (FMA) holders are required to consult
the public during the development of forest
management plans to allow for feedback and
consultation.
During this time, members of the public were
presented with the opportunity to review a variety
of plans made available by each company,
