Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt at Peers Playschool
by Shaylyn Thornton
Despite a windy Easter weekend, the Peers
Playschool Association's latest fundraiser was a
success. The group put on an Easter Brunch and
Egg Hunt, and people of all ages were invited to
take part.
In addition to breakfast and the egg hunts,
families had the opportunity to have Easter
themed photos taken during the event as well.
The event was held on April 20, and over 100
people showed up to enjoy the pancake breakfast.
Approximately 40 kids participated in the egg
hunts, making the hunt a fun and exciting
experience for all involved.
Hosted at the Peers Multiplex, the fundraiser
had a focus on raising money for new toys and
kid's tables for the playschool. Thanks to the
guests that came out to enjoy the breakfast and
egg hunt, the Peers Playschool Association raised Andrew DePee (Left) and Robert DePee were excited to find some Easter eggs during the Peers

Representing the playschool, Shelby Shelton
said that this fundraiser wasn't quite as successful
as past pancake breakfasts. She recognized that
turnout may have been a bit lower due to the event
falling on a holiday weekend, however the group
is still very pleased with the amount raised.
Shelton also spoke of the group's “wonderful
sponsors”, who made sure that all the event costs
were covered. Semcams sponsored the pancake
breakfast, DFI and Green Pastures Holdings
sponsored the Egg Hunt, and Luscious Light
Photography sponsored the Easter-themed photos.
Overall, the Peers Playschool's Easter
Fundraiser brought in funds for some much
needed supplies and provided a fun day for
families to enjoy. All of this was thanks to the
many volunteers who ran the event, the sponsors, Many guests showed up to enjoy the pancake breakfast and support the Peers Playschool Association
