“We have actually been quite steady since
our UBrew opened its doors,” said Donovan.
“The community has shown lots of excitement
and people were very eager to have their wine,
beer, or cider ready for the upcoming holidays.”
Like Brennan, Donovan was very nervous
leading up to Premier Kenney's announcement
of new restrictions on November 24. “We were
not sure how it would be handled, as our
business requires us to be here daily to take care
of the batches that are in process,” she said.
Thankfully, The Popped Cork is able to stay
open, as much of their business is done by
appointment-only, and they never have more
than 5 people in the store at one time.
