appliances are needing to be replaced. As well,
most are in agreement of the need for an air

kitchen and getting an air conditioner are our
main goals for the fundraising."
The Pioneer Cabin offers a vast variety of
activities that greatly improve the quality of life
for local seniors and their kitchen is always very
busy with many meals prepared on a weekly

meal is made for guests. There is lots ofbaking
and meal planning when it comes to activities,
and you can even purchase meals frozen to take
home to eat.

Edson area and many people know who he and
enjoy his performances.
Pa1mer usually has a circuit he travels, and after
playing at the Cabin he will be traveling back to
Hinton, then off to play in Edmonton and
Barrhead. After that he will be going east for
three weeks, then through Calgary and down to
B.C.
Guests not only got to enjoy some great music
they also enjoyed some snacks and refreshments
that were prepared.
The fundraiser brought in a smaller crowd than
what was hoped for due to other popular events
happening on the same night. "But that's okay,
we need to keep fundraising so we can keep all
our activities going here at the cabin," said
Williamson.
