Crib players were eager to play against
each other during the monthly crib
tournament that was held at Parkland
Lodge on January 5. Amanda Wills with
the Recreation Department says, "We
have a crib tournament once a month
during the winter months, it is held on
the first Saturday of the month. The cost
is $10 to cover the cost of prize money.
First place is $80, second place is $60,
third place is $40, and we have a booby
prize that is $20. The tournament is for
our residents, but we have it open to the
community as well. We are not making
money, it's just meant for fun and an
activity. The games begin at 1 p.m. and
usually go until 4 pm. We like to have a
break about half way to enjoy some
snacks. We play six games in total and
we just ask that if anyone is planning on
attending to please call ahead to let us
know at 780-723-3522, that way we
know how many to set up for. We
usually have around 24 people that

Amanda Wills in the recreation

a few different activities for the
residents this year and towards
the end of the month we are
