Big day for Lobstick 4-H at Show and Sale
by Wyatt Bahrynowski, club reporter
Well the big day for 4-H Beef members in the
area has come and gone with the Drayton
Valley 4-H Interclub Show and Sale held May
27.
All that is left is great memories and
everlasting photos.
Our club, the Lobstick 4-H Club had some
great beef projects, and our members put in a
lot of hard work and effort to get the animals
show ready for the Acheivement Day.
This year our club champion steer belonged
to Wyatt Bahrynowski, and his sister Wendy
Bahrynowski got the reserve club champion.
Brody and Cordell Laackmann recieved
awards for their prodigy projects, while
Kooper and Kasey Volk, and Garyn Willett
placed in the grooming and showmanship
categories.
We are proud of all our members for their
participation in the show and all the hard work
it took to get them to show day.
Following the show there was an amazing
supper and then the excitement of the sale! A
sad time for members, as they had to say
goodbye to some of the animals they had
created a bond with over the last seven months.
As usual, we had great support from the
businesses and individual buyers that come out
to the sale even in this tough economical time
for many in the area. It was awesome to see
these people step up and support the kids.
Thanks to all the buyers and all the
