Rugby returns to PCHS for another season

submitted Trish Day, PCHS

In spite of the snow and the frigid temperatures
outside, another Pacers rugby season starts next
week with tryouts and dryland training starting in
the Parkland gym.
PCHS is pleased to announce the return of Dani
Hamilton, Chris Hamilton, and Jonah Kuzmic to
the Pacer coaching staff. All three coaches have
been heavily involved in the rugby community
here in Edson for several years, and all three have
devoted countless volunteer hours to developing
the rugby program at our school.
In addition to these veterans, the Pacers are also
pleased to announce a new member to the
coaching staff, Lyssa Bencz. Ms. Bencz is
normally our Math and Science teacher
extraordinaire, but she is also a former player for
the Ladies Edson Axmen Rugby Club and will no
doubt be a boon to the girls' rugby team. Pacers rugby season starts off with tryouts and dryland training in the Parkland gym.
