to the postsecondary level of competition
when you grow up in a rural community.
The access to facilities, club sport
programs, and general exposure to
coaches is very restricted especially when
competing for a place on the roster against
athletes who grow up in the city.
Despite these challenges, two Pacers Sr.
Boys Volleyball alumni have managed to
make the transition to the Alberta Colleges
Athletic Conference and are competing on
two of the best teams in the province.
Class of 2018 graduate Tyler McCartney
is going into his second year with the
NAIT Ooks who are currently 4-0 to start
the season and have yet to lose even a
single set. Class of 2019 graduate
Anderson King has also found a spot on Parkland Pacers Volleyball
