made possible by the school's parent committee
comprised of six moms of the graduates.
According to the head of HRH's parent
committee, Carrie Nycz, "We got an email from
the school saying they were going to do a virtual
grad and there were quite a few people
disappointed in the whole thing. I got an email
from the school later saying we had the option to
do the virtual grad or a fall ceremony. 82% voted
for fall grad…but we wanted to have something
on their special day."
Convoy participants gathered at Repsol Place
with vehicles decorated in balloons,
congratulatory signs, and HRH's signature black
and gold colors to celebrate the students' long-
awaited graduation day.
Graduates lined up along the sidewalks outside
of the school, looking dazzling in their beautiful
dresses and striking suits while awaiting
community members to drive by. "We wanted
[the graduates] to be able to show off [their
dresses and suits], so that's why we came up with
the idea of having them stand out and everybody
drive by in their vehicles," Nycz said.
