Annual Father-Daughter Gala another success

by Deanna Mitchener

Another great Father-Daughter Gala was held
this year on February 21, which took place in
the elegantly decorated Galloway Station
Museum and Travel Centre.
“We had a beautiful night; it was so nice
seeing everyone out enjoying the event,” said
Town of Edson Community Development
Coordinator Ali Broda. “A special thanks to
the businesses that donated beautiful prizes
that we raffled off to the attendees. We value
the support from our community so much.”
“The Branch Inn Restaurant catered our meal,
and guests enjoyed ham, grilled pineapple and
a pineapple gravy, coleslaw, roast potato and
bun.
“The night also included a candy bar,
chocolate and vanilla cupcakes, and a dance PASSPORT PHOTOS & MORE

taught a series of line dances for guests to
learn.
“As the father and daughter pairs came into
the event, they had their portrait taken.
Attendees were given their personal photos as
a keepsake gift.”
When asked what is needed to be done and
how much time was involved behind the
scenes leading up to the Gala, Broda
responded, “Both the Father-Daughter Gala
and the Mother-Son Soirée are like planning
