Gelmici Jewellers gives back to community with charity gift bags
by Cassie Kushniruk
In spirit of the Christmas giving season,
Gelmici Jewellers will be raising money for
Reflections in the form of affordable, high-
value gift bags available for purchase by
customers.
Reflections provides a multitude of supports,
resources and services for adults facing
adversity in their lives, including mental health
challenges, unemployment, homelessness, or
anyone looking for a safe, inclusive
environment.
By providing nutritious meals three times a
week, Reflections members have the
opportunity to receive a hot meal, shower or do
laundry. While there, they can also socialize
with others facing challenges, play games or
watch a movie.
In the future, Reflections hopes to offer
meals five days a week as the need continues
to grow. With 110 members and many more
drop-ins, Reflections currently provides 350-
400 meals per month.
