On September 5 the Holy Redeemer High
School's football team opened their season with a
game against Provost. The game was held on the
HRH field.
The HRH Rebels started the game strong, being
the first to score a touchdown and put some
points up on the scoreboard.
Though a bit of back and forth was seen through
the game as Provost made some touchdowns of
their own, the Rebels did not let up and their
tenacity paid off as they earned their first win of
the season, with a score of 65 over Provost's 31.
Head Coach Mike Bachinsky said that this year
marks the smallest group of athletes for the
Rebels so far, but he was sure to note that they
are also “the most dedicated.” The Rebels successfully stop Provost from scoring an additional point following a Provost touchdown

those being new to the sport, a lot of
responsibility will fall to first year players,” said
Bachinsky. “Fortunately, they are proving up to
the task!”
This was clear to see in the first game, as one of
the HRH players of the game went to Ethan
Toner. “Ethan was playing in his first ever
game,” said Bachinsky. “He had a lot of
responsibility that he handled very well.”
The other player of the game was named as
HRH Wide Receiver Ben Rogers. Rogers scored
four touchdowns and “had a couple highlight reel
catches,” said his Coach.
Coach Bachinsky named the team's strengths as
their “great team spirit and communication on the
field.” This was definitely noticed by those
