REQUIREMENTS FOR VOTER IDENTIFICATION
Local Authorities Election Act (Sections 12, 35, 46, 53)
LOCAL JURISDICTION: TOWN OF EDSON, PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
Notice is hereby given that an election will be held for the filling of the following
offices:

An advance vote will take place on the 5 day of October, 2017 between the hours of
4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The voting station will be located at: Town of Edson – Civic
Centre, 605-50 Street, Edson, AB T7E 1T7
In order to vote, you MUST produce identification for inspection. Any of the following
documents that contain your name and address on it will be accepted as valid proof of
identity:

Government cheque or cheque stub
Photo identification issued by a Canadian
government or agency &
Income/property tax assessment notice
(federal/provincial/local) &
Insurance policy or coverage card
& &
Bank/credit card statement or personal
Pension plan statement of benefits,
cheque. contributions or participation
& Statement of government benefits
Correspondence issued by a school, college &
Vehicle ownership, registration or insurance
or university. &
A letter or form (attestation) confirming
& certificate
Utility bill (telephone, public utilities
that you live at the stated address. This form &
can be signed by authorized representatives commission, television, electricity, water, gas)
for: Commercial property management &
Residential lease or mortgage statement
company, correctional institution, First Nations &
Letter from public curator, public guardian
band or reserve, post-secondary institution, or public trustee
facility that provides services to the
homeless, or a supportive living facility or
treatment centre.

Edson/Yellowhead County Inter-Municipal Development Plan
Bylaw No. 2200 Public Hearing

Bylaw No. 2200, the Inter-Municipal Development Plan Bylaw, was given first reading on September 5 , 2017. This bylaw
updates and reviews the existing Inter-Municipal Development Plan adopted in 2007. Open Houses were held in May and
August of this year to gather input from members of the Public. A formal Public Hearing will now be held on:
Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at 7:30 P.M. in the Council Chambers of the Edson Civic Centre.

Copies of the Bylaw may be inspected by the public from 8 AM to 4 PM during weekdays at the Town Office (605 – 50
Street). Anyone who claims that their land will be negatively affected by the passing of this Bylaw is requested to write a
letter outlining the reasons, and submit the letter to the Director of Planning, on or before September 28, 2017. Please join us
,
at the Public Hearing on October 3 2017. At that time, Council will review written submissions and hear representations from
anyone who claims to be affected by the proposed bylaw.
