Thrills and spills at Pro-Rodeo Fall Roundup

by Deanna Mitchener

This year's 3rd annual Pro-Rodeo Fall
Roundup was a wonderful success. The weather
tried to dampen everyone's spirit, but rodeo fans
in Medicine Lodge are much tougher than a few
downpours.
Campers had begun to file into the rodeo
grounds the Tuesday before the event, and this
year saw a marked increase in the amount of
people who took in all three days of rodeo that
the Roundup had to offer.
The pancake breakfast on Saturday and Sunday
morning was a big hit and got everyone in the
mood for some good old fashioned rodeo
entertainment later on in the day.
"Saturday's CPRA rodeo performance went off
without a hitch and the time flew right by while a
crowd of several hundred watched, including
international rodeo fans from Germany and
Sweden," said the marketing director Erin Oneil. This year's Fall Roundup Champion Bareback rider Cole Goodine on Duffy Rodeo’s Blue

A sudden deluge hit while hungry patrons lined
up for the pig roast and turkey dinner sponsored
by Jason Hird Trucking but fans toughed it out.
"Edson's own Tyler Babiuk was on hand to
play live music during dinner and into the
evening, and he was fantastic entertainment that
was well praised by everyone," said Oneil.
