16 annual HRH Dessert Theatre arouses range of emotions

From sympathy and heartbreak to laughter and
horror, Holy Redeemer High School drama
students stimulated a wide range of emotions

during the 16 annual Dessert Theatre on April 12
and 13.
Each year, junior and senior high students in the
HRH drama program present their one-act plays to
an Edson audience in preparation for the Zone
Drama Festival, which typically follows in the next
few weeks.
HRH students continue to impress the audience
each year with their outstanding talents, and this
year's fervent display of plays was no different.
During the first evening of April 12, senior high
students performed You Love Me, Don't You?,
which followed the story of Peta-Ann (Ava
Simmons) as she introduced her boyfriend, Leon,
to her parents. However, things quickly turn sour as
Leon begins developing plans to murder Peta-Ann's
family.
Thomas Pennings, who portrayed the character of
Leon, successfully delivered the challenging role as
he was able to display both love towards Peta-Ann
