PCHS Jr Girls remain undefeated

March 3rd weekend the PCHS JR Girls
competed at basketball zones in Athabasca.
PCHS JR Girls played three games against
teams they had not seen before.
Their first opponent was Barrhead and the girls
dominated the game and won 63-15.
Next up was RF Staples from Westock and it
was another great game for Parkland with a 58-
20 win.
Next up was Edwin Parr, from Athabasca and
this was by far the most challenging game the
girls have played this year.
Both teams were very evenly match and played
very strong defense. PCHS won the game 29-24.
This meant they won gold, also making them
undefeated all year.
PCHS Jr Girls basketball team came home with gold from zones in Athabasca.
HRH CHAMPIONS - The Junior A
Boys basketball team from Holy
Redeemer is all smiles after winning
the 3J Zone Championship on March
2nd. The boys defeated Hinton by a
score of 92-54. This win comes on
the heels winning the GYAC
Championship the week before. "This
caps off an incredible season for this
young team," says Head Coach Mike
McAndrews. "They won GYAC, they
won Zones. This group of young
athletes are incredibly talented. I
believe the future of the basketball
program at HRH is in great hands.”

The Holy Redeemer Basketball
Program continues to showcase their
dominance after winning the JV North
Central Basketball Championship on
March 3rd. The Rebels squad defeated
Morinville in the gold medal game by a
score of 80-75.
