HRH vs Panthers in volleyball league matches

On September 26, the Holy Redeemer High School Rebels hosted a junior
high volleyball league game against the Ecole Pine Grove School Panthers.
Both boys and girls teams shared the gym and were able to play side by side.
The boys game had a slower start as both teams struggled due to younger
players and inexperience. As a result, the first set was close, with a score of 25-
21.
By the second set, the rebels dominated the court, winning 25-13.
Upon the third set, both teams played hard, as the Panthers started to get into
the rhythm of the game. Final set score was 25-22.
HRH managed to pull away in the fourth set, winning the set 25-12.
By the fifth set, Pine Grove tried to hang on and played hard. HRH was able
to pull ahead with a score of 25-20. Overall score was 5-0 for HRH.
Melanie Debrecen, HRH boys coach, stated “I'm pretty proud of them. We
were struggling in the first few sets. We're missing a lot of our older players.
Our grade nine's are off golfing today. We had seven and eight's mostly but I
think they really pulled through. We had a few players that hadn't come to any
practices yet and I think they've done a really good job of pulling through in
the end.”
Pine Grove boys coach, Roger Redman, explained “the game went well. We
haven't had a lot of practice time so, we're just working on some basic skills.
We're just passing and serving. They did very well for their first game. We
have a bunch of grade six students. Most of them haven't played volleyball
before.”
The girls volleyball game started out with Pine Grove pulling ahead of HRH
and playing a solid set, ending with a score of 25-9.
In the second and third set, both teams played competitively as HRH won
both sets 25-22.
By the fourth set, HRH looked strong in the beginning but as the game

really proud of them. Pine Grove is a really competitive team. They gave our

league game finals, on the diamonds by the Boys and Girls Club. LARGE VEGETABLE CONTEST

five by the bottom of the third inning. Both sides played a strong defence.
By the fourth inning, Lenchmob hit seven RBI's and widened the gap as One entry per family per class
